My Story
"Do you remember the first time you realized that 'home' was now thousands of miles away? I do, and it changed my life forever."
I am drawn to the deeper conversations in life, so it’s no surprise that I trained to be a therapist. Something profound happens when we speak honestly and share our vulnerabilities, hopes, stories and dreams.
Moving around the world to build a family of my own, gave me a sense of being ‘other’. I became observant, interested in identity and how we find a sense of belonging. I am fascinated by dissimilarity and how we can learn to accept and celebrate our own differences and those of others.
My earlier career in Primary Years Education was creative, meaningful and rewarding but didn’t hold long-term appeal. In 2019 after the completion of my Masters in Intercultural Primary and Middle Years teaching degree, I found myself moving towards a path to discover my true self, understand my strengths and weaknesses, and cultivate a strong sense of self. This journey of self-discovery was and is particularly empowering, especially for those expats who may have faced societal pressures or stereotypes. Navigating through a new culture is like learning to walk again: exhilarating, challenging, and sometimes, a little scary. Trust me when I say been there, done that. If I can, You can!
At my alma mater Huma Nova, my study was transformational and its emphasis on authenticity and acceptance resonated. I have since enjoyed working as an authorized English and Swedish speaking therapist, with diverse client groups, giving talks, inspiring others and writing, and have specialized in helping clients struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family issues, crisis situations, work issues, school issues, phobias, panic disorders, social anxiety, eating disorders and other forms of obsessive compulsive behaviors, trauma (current and/or past), problematic behavior patterns, chronic illness and family members or friends affected by this, grief, crisis from life transitions (e. g. death, divorce, midlife crisis) ADD, ADHD, poor childhoods and other issues.
I also work with forms of life enhancement such as self-actualization and peak performance techniques helpful for artists, entertainers, athletes, business people etc.
I work with a culturally diverse client base, including cross-cultural couples and their families and individuals living in Sweden from other countries who prefer to meet and talk in English during therapy sessions.

Now you can have the convenience of a therapy session in your own home, office or while traveling. If you live or are visiting Stockholm, you also welcome to meet me at my office.
